My Introduction.....
Hello, my name is Yvette Parris and this is my 7th year teaching at Flat Rock Middle School. I am proud and fortunate to be called an "Eagle" Business Teacher. My experience in the business arena consists of 14+ years within Human Resources, Information Technology, and Banking. I received my BSBA from Western Carolina University and majored in Business Entrepreneurship; therefore, I encourage all my students to follow and live their dreams. My
students ask me what is my dream, and without hesitation I tell them "I am living it .....Teaching and Coaching". I feel that my background and passion for teaching will have a positive impact on our students, and will prepare them better for the career and technical aspects of their future.
On a personal note..... the mountains have been my home for the past 22 years. I came to North Carolina from San Antonio, Texas. I am married, have 3 children, and 2 dogs. My husband works at Sugarloaf Elementary. My son is a Junior in High School, plays in the Symphonic and Marching Bands, and is taking classes at Blue Ridge Community College. My daughter plays Volleyball for Middle School, Travel Softball, and enjoys writing poetry. As for my little one, she keeps the whole family laughing and smiling everywhere we go. Our dogs "Bella" and "June" bring additional love and action into our home.
